Walk straight in. The layouts stay up all week, so there is no setting up and trains are running from the start of the evening.
Watch, or have a go. Ask as many questions as you like. Members are happy to show you how things work.
Stay for a cup of tea. The kettle goes on every club night. Come and have a cup of tea and a chat with us.
Come along on a Tuesday or Thursday evening, have a look round and talk to us. We explain membership, including the cost, on the night. If you would rather ask first, give Steve a ring.
Do I need to know anything about model railways?
No. Plenty of people come along to watch and learn. Ask as many questions as you like; members are happy to show you how things work.
Which scales and kinds of railway does the club run?
The club layouts are OO and N gauge, and members run British or North American trains on them, on DC or DCC.
The test track also takes TT and OO9, so most things can be run in on club night.
Can I bring my own trains?
Members run their own stock on the club layouts. If you have a locomotive you would like to try, bring it along and ask on the night.
Do you hold open days?
Yes, we have started holding regular open days. Dates go on the noticeboard as soon as they are set.
